Tin Man is coffee with heart. Our philosophy is to work with good people, roast with care and serve great coffee with a story.

 

Tin Man was founded by Ben Stronach in 2014, running his roaster out the back of his little cafe, The Queensberry Pour House. The cafe drew a community of coffee lovers (and absolute legends), many of whom remain friends and patrons of Tin Man today. After the Pourhouse closed it’s doors in 2020, Ben moved Tin Man to it’s new home in Coburg North, where we now operate, selling beans and hooping.

Tin Man uses the highest quality beans sourced from our favourite producers all over the world. We craft our seasonal blends to taste great black and white, and our single origins showcase the best of many different farms around the world.

Our approach is entirely hands on — we source, test, roast, brew and serve our beans, talk to our customers and personally deliver to our wholesale clients, which means we get the best and most genuine feedback about our coffee.

Tin Man has allowed us to create a range of products that we’re really proud of, that we ourselves love to consume, and has provided the opportunity to create our own future in a way. There are so many exciting opportunities within the coffee industry. And there’s just nothing like having a yarn with someone about how great the thing is that you’ve made.
